Why We Use Grass-Fed Tallow (And Why It Matters for Your Skin)
At Palm Beach Tallow, we believe what you put on your skin matters just as much as what you put in your body. That's why every product we make starts with one ingredient: grass-fed and finished beef tallow.
Tallow has been used as a skincare ingredient for centuries — long before petroleum-based moisturizers, synthetic emollients, and ingredient lists that require a chemistry degree to decode. So why did it fall out of fashion? Largely because of the industrialization of both food and beauty. But times are changing.
What makes grass-fed tallow different?
Not all tallow is created equal. Grass-fed and finished beef tallow is rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K — the same nutrients your skin needs to regenerate, protect itself, and stay hydrated. Conventionally raised beef tallow has a very different fatty acid profile, with far fewer of these beneficial nutrients.
Why it works so well on skin
Tallow is remarkably similar in composition to the sebum your skin naturally produces. This means your skin recognizes it, absorbs it easily, and doesn't react to it the way it might with synthetic ingredients. It's deeply nourishing without being greasy, and it works for all skin types — including sensitive skin.
Our commitment
Every jar of Palm Beach Tallow is made with grass-fed and finished beef tallow, with no fillers, no preservatives, and no harsh chemicals. Just clean, effective skincare the way nature intended.
